Henry Luther Martin age 86 of Hampstead, MD formerly of Lineboro, MD died after a brief illness on Sunday August 24, 2014 at his home, with his family by his side.
Born October 28, 1927 on the family farm outside of Hampstead, he was the son of the late Harry L. Martin and Eva M. Ramer. He was the husband of Birtie Harper Martin, his wife of 67 years.
He was a 1945 graduate of Manchester High School. He worked in construction and was a trim carpenter until his retirement. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean Occupation.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Brenda Myers and husband Donald of Westminster, MD, Bryan Martin and wife Sharon of Hagerstown, MD and Wayne Martin and wife Bridget of Westminster, MD, grandchildren, Christopher Myers of Arlington, VA and Kyle Martin of Sykesville, MD , a sister, Dorothy Harman of Chambersburg, PA and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Herschel E. Martin.
Services and interment will be private at a later date.
