Herbert Leroy Bowers

Herbert Leroy Bowers, 59 of York New Salem, PA. passed peacefully Friday August 4, 2017 at his home. Born February 14, 1958 in Baltimore he was the son of the late Donald Bowers, Sr. and Betty Jane Zittinger Bowers. He was the husband of Susan Marie Redmond Bowers.

He was a manager for United Refining Company, also worked for Culbertson Company and worked in HVAC and plumbing most of his life. He was a member of the Westminster Moose and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children; Robert Martin Huddleston and wife Miriam of Bel Air, MD., William Lee Huddleston and wife Lori of North Carolina and Jaime Lee Bowers and husband Dean of Taneytown, MD., siblings; Donald Bowers, Jr. and wife Donna of Catonsville, MD., Matthew Dean Bowers and wife Joanna of Westminster, MD. and Mary Beth Bowers of Michigan. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD. on Sunday August 6, 2017 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Lineboro Cemetery.
