Herbert John Ziegler

Herbert John Ziegler, 88, of Manchester, MD, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born on November 2, 1928, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Pearl Miller Ziegler.

Herbert worked many years as a helper for a hiring stable. He proudly served his country and was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving him is his sister: Marjorie C. Ziegler of Manchester, MD, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother: George I. Ziegler, Jr, step sister: Clara M. Dammann, and step brother: Raymond Ziegler.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, October 9, from 1 – 2 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, 21102, where a funeral service will be held at 2 pm. Interment to follow at Druid Ridge Cemetery, Pikesville, MD.
