Howard "Babe" LeRoy Miller, 76 of Manchester, MD died suddenly Saturday, August 13, 2016 at York Hospital in York, PA.
Born May 17, 1940 in Millers, MD he was the son of the late Ruthetta Miller Redding and Charles Redding. He was the husband of the late Sharon Elaine Witter Miller who died in 2014.
Babe was a heavy equipment operator for Recycled Green Industries. Years ago he had worked for Walsh Construction and Masonary Contractors. He was a life member of Manchester Volunteer Fire Dept. and Immanuel Lutheran Church. Babe enjoyed breakfast with friends, working, dancing especially the Jitterbug, country music and family gatherings.
He is survived by his son; Chris Miller and wife Debbie of Littlestown, PA, grandchildren; Nikki Campbell and husband Lukas and Heather Aziz and husband AJ, great grandchildren; Raygan, Chase, Layla and Blake Campbell, siblings; Robert Miller of Hanover, PA and Jeanne Moritz and husband Ed of Florida, sister-in-law; Lynn Witter and his companion Linda Black both of Manchester. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Darren Miller.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD from 3-5 and 7-9pm. and on Wednesday from 9:30 until time of service at 11:00am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 3184 Church St., Manchester, MD 21102. Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester.
