Howard W. Taylor, 92, of Parkville formerly a 27 year resident of Marling Farms in Chester, died at Franklin Square Hospital in Baltimore on February 9, 2008. He was born in Baltimore on June 12, 1915 and was the son of the late Howard W. Taylor, Sr. and Ethel Emma Bounds Taylor. He was the husband of Phyllis M. Walther Taylor of Parkville, his wife of 72 years.
Mr. Taylor worked for USF&G as a purchaser in the printing department. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was active in the St. Michael's Model Boat Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his daughters and son in law Pat and James Burnside of Timonium and Harriet Steahly of Springfield, Illinois; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his sister Thelma Daugherty.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with the Rev. Dr. Katherine Wadya officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
The family will receive friends on Friday from Noon to until time of service at the funeral chapel.
