Hubert Carl Tromble

Hubert "Bert" Tromble, 81, of Finksburg, MD, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at his home.  Born on October 31, 1941, in North Tonawanda, NY, he was the son of the late Wayne and Helen Tromble.  He was the beloved husband of 56 years to Katherine Mary (Cribbs) Tromble.

Bert worked as a high school English teacher for 37 years with Baltimore County Public Schools, where he also coached football and lacrosse.  After retirement, he continued to teach at the Institute of Notre Dame for 7 years. He was a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, past president of the Best Years group at Sacred Heart, and past president of the Gamber-Smallwood Optimists. Bert was a veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Wayne Tromble and wife Jody, Kate Tromble and husband Dan Restrepo, Connie Eyster and husband Brian, Alice Fagin and husband J, grandchildren: Seòn, Brendon, Hannah, and Nora Tromble, Isabel and Maria Cristina Restrepo, Birch Eyster, and Elias and Wyatt Fagin.  He is also survived by his sisters: Corinne Moll, Loretta Daigler, and Madeline Rabb.

Bert was predeceased by 3 siblings.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, July 15, from 9 am – 10 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Reisterstown, MD 21136, where a memorial mass will begin at 10 am.

Interment is private.
