Ilene Margaret Stewart, 84, of Hanover, PA formerly of Randallstown, MD. died Friday, April 26, 2013 at York Hospital in York, PA.
Born May 1, 1928 in West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Caperton and Mary Keaton Caperton.
She was the wife of William R. Stewart, her husband of 54 years.
Years ago, she had worked for A & P Grocery store in the meat department and had worked for Westinghouse.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her siblings :Sylvia Grandstaff of Manchester, Kitty Speal of Glen Burnie, Bonnie Novak of Florida, William Caperton of Eldersburg, and Sybil Schultz of Ohio; and also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her siblings Charles Caperton, Mildred Jackson, Junior Caperton, and Virginia Caperton.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Diego Boquer officiating.
Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Humane Society.
