Irene M. Howard, 80 years old of Westminster, died Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Dove House in Westminster.
Born September 25, 1928 in Finksburg, she was the daughter of the late James William Bower, Sr. and Catherine Mildred Mann Bower.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles E. "Corky" Howard.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter and son-in law Cheryl and Roland E. Hertsch, Jr. of Westminster, 2 granddaughter's, Michelle Anderson, her husband Scott, of Pasadena and Jennifer Hertsch of Hampstead. Sister of Virginia Harvey of Severna Park, Sharon Almoney of New Oxford, PA. and Robert and Thomas Bower, both of Finksburg.
Also survived by numerous nieces,nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her 2 sisters, Evelyn Weiss, Doris Gill and brother James William Bower, Jr.
Friends may call at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Rev. Charles Harvey officiating.
Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carroll County Hospital Center or the Dove House.
