Jack Calhoun, Sr. age 88 of Westminster, MD. died Tuesday Nov. 29, 2011 at his home.
Born June 14, 1923 in Roan Mountain, Tenn. He was the son of the late David Scott and Margaret Heaton Calhoun. He was the husband of Charlotte Isabel Robertson Calhoun his wife of 57 years.
He was retired from the timber business where he was a logger. He was also a farmer.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Jack Calhoun, Jr. and wife Lois of Westminster, MD., Ricky Calhoun, Sr. and wife Donna of Westminster, MD. and Sherry Pohlhaus and husband Walter of Hampstead, MD. Grandchildren: Ricky Jr., Clint Sr., Jason, Ashley, Amber, Whitney and Brayden and great grandchildren: Ricky III, Clint Jr., Desiree and Devinn.
He was predeceased by a son Ronnie Calhoun.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 3-5and 7-9 pm. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. with funeral services Saturday at 11:00 am.
Interment in John Luther Miller Cemetery, Westminster, MD.
