James Jerome Blazek, Sr.

James Jerome Blazek, Sr. 78 years old of Reisterstown, died Monday, August 25, 2008 at the Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore.
Born September 3, 1929 in Baltimore, He was the son of the late Joseph F. Blazek and Barbara P. Gross Blazek. He was predeceased by his wife of over 44 years Teresa Catherine Blazek in 1999.
Mr. Blazek was an "A Course" Graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, a proud graduate of Purdue University where he received his degree in chemical engineering. He worked for 37 years with W.R. Grace, Davison Chemical, retiring as a Vice President of Development. He served honorably with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Anne and her husband Matthew Regan of Glenwood, MD., and 3 sons, Matthew J. Blazek of Reisterstown, James J. Jr. and his wife Joan Blazek, of Sykesville and Paul T. Blazek of Reisterstown Also survived by seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Blazek.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon. Rev. Msgr. Lloyd E. Aiken officiating. Interment in Lake View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd.
