James Thomas Gist, 54, of Littlestown, PA died suddenly Friday February 4, 2011 at his home.
Born February 25, 1956 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Thomas Philip and Marylou Wisner Gist.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and worked as Safety and Health Inspector for the State of Maryland. He was 1974 graduate of Francis Scott Key High School.
Surviving is his son Jon Gist of Littlestown, PA; and his sisters and brothers-in-law Colleen and David Pyles of Hanover, PA, and Michele and Michael Magara, Sr. of East Berlin, PA.
He was predeceased by his son Steven Phillip Gist and his daughter Laura Jane Gist.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville.
