James Alfred Higgins, Jr., 73, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Seasons Hospice at Sinai Hospital. Born on December 18, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late James Alfred Higgins, Sr., and Virginia Geraldine Bull Heltzel.

Years ago, James retired from NLP Enterprises, Inc. He was an active member of the Reisterstown Moose Lodge, and a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Surviving him are brothers: Lee Higgins and wife Trish of Millsboro, DE, and Gordon Higgins of Ohio, nephews: Kevin Steager, and David Steager and wife Kathy, nieces: Jennifer Davidson and husband David, and Stacy Haines.

He was predeceased by his stepfather: Carson D. Heltzel, and his sister: Joyce Hofmeister.

Services and interment are private.
