James "Jim" Stanley Lee, Jr., 80, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at his home, following a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Born on July 8, 1944, in Baltimore City, MD, he was the son of the late James Stanley Lee, Sr. and Marguerite Wehrman Lee. He was the beloved husband of Linda Ellen Franz Lee.
Jim was an English teacher in the Baltimore City and Prince George's County, MD schools prior to retiring to reside in Hanover, PA. He was an avid reader and bicyclist. He was active in horseback riding and cared deeply about animal welfare and the environment.
Jim leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Linda, his sister: Frances Miller of Glen Burnie, MD, his brothers: Larry Lee of Adamstown, PA, Terry Lee of Glen Burnie, MD, and Michael Lee of Lewes, DE. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 21, 1-3 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD.
Interment is private.
