James Raymond " Ray" Rau, Jr. 85 years old of Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, died on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born September 25, 1924 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James Raymond, Sr., and Minnie Fehrer Rau.
He was twice married; the late Shirley E. Doelle Rau who died in 2006 and the late Ruby Lee Whitlock Rau who died in 1976.
He had worked at Glenn L. Martin Corp. and Maryland Cup Corp. before retiring in 1987. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Hamilton.
Surviving is his sister, Beatrice J. Sienkiewicz of Westminster and many other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his two children, Gail Lynn Rau, James Raymond Rau, III and a brother William T. Rau.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM from the Krug Chapel Auditorium at Carroll Lutheran Village, with visitation from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Interment in Parkwood Cemetery, Baltimore.
