James "Jim" Francis Regester, of Westminster, MD passed peacefully Friday August 26, 2016 at the Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium, MD. Born in Baltimore City he was the son of the late Eugene Regester and Honora Ruth Burrow. He was the husband of 54 years to Kathleen Clay Regester.
He was an antique dealer, enjoyed refinishing furniture, going to auctions and yard sales. He enjoyed anything to do with nature. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army. He belonged to the Headquarters and headquarter company 25th Infantry Division Artillery, Schofield Barracks, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children; Keith James Regester of Westminster and Kristi and Scott Ridgell of Hampstead, grandchildren; John James Shipley, Brandon Keith Regester, Sean Kelly Ridgell, Tristin Clay Regester, Kaitlin and Wade Gilbert and siblings; Eugene Regester, Patricia Combs, Peggy Morelock, Paul Regester, Elizabeth Meade and Michael Regester. He was also survived by a sister in law; Carol Sue Clift.
He was predeceased by a brother; Ronald Regester.
The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD on Monday Aug. 29, 2016 from 4 – 8 pm. where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am. with the Rev. Charles Marshall officiating. Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
