James Maurice Skidmore, Sr. 81 years old, died Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his Springsbury Township home in York, Pennsylvania.
Born September 22, 1931 in Sutton, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Guy Edward Skidmore and Glenna M. James Skidmore.
He was the husband of Dorothy Lillian Constantine Skidmore.
He was a four year U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked for the former A&P Grocery Store Chain for 44 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son James M. Skidmore, Jr., of York, a brother, Gilbert Skidmore of Newport News, Virginia and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday, from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, where services will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 PM. Rev. Lou Piel officiating.
Interment in Lake View Memorial Park.
