James "Jay" Vernon McBeath, 58, of Manchester, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Carroll Hospital Center. Born on February 7, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of Lana Jeanne Housewright Slocum and the late Harlus Lee McBeath. He was the husband of Robin Marie Green McBeath.

Before becoming disabled, Jay was a Program Designer. He was a member of Manchester Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, boating, animals, cars, and he loved his dogs. He was a champion carriage horse driver.

He is survived by his children: Brandon James McBeath, Lindsay Jean Labossiere, Brandon Edward March, and Jessica Marie Norton, 9 grandchildren, brothers: David Lee, Darin Scott, and Christopher Lee McBeath, and sister: Heather Lee Angeline.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, 21102.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 11:00 am at Manchester Baptist Church, 2933 Manchester Baptist Church Road, Manchester, 21102.

Contributions can be made in his name to Lineboro Volunteer Fire Department, 4224 Main Street, Lineboro, MD. 21102 or Manchester Baptist Church, 2933 Manchester Baptist Church Road, Manchester, MD 21102.
