James Owen Watts, age 90, of Stewartstown, PA passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the York Hospital in York, PA.
Born August 24, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late James C. Watts and Kathryn Owens Watts. He was the husband of Barbara Alice Strakes Watts, his wife of 27 years.
He was a retired Analytical Chemist for the Food and Drug Administration. He was a graduate of Lafayette College the class of 1949. He was a member of the Pennsylvania School Ship Association.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children Peggy Todd, Elaine Kennett, James O. Watts, Jr., Jeanne Watts, Kathryn Estelle, and Marisa Webster; his sister Katherine Young; his 11 grandchildren; and his numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter Barbara Ann Watts.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
