James Arthur Weaver, 65, of Manchester, died Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster.
Born Nov. 22, 1944, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Mark and Evelyn Small Weaver. He was the husband of Luanne Richmond Weaver, his wife of 44 years.
Years ago he was a machinist for Koppers. He was a real estate appraiser and along with his wife, owned and operated Statewide Appraisal. He was a member of Elgerts Sportsman Club in Hancock and of Grace Bible Church in Manchester.
He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors, and camping at Holiday Park Camp Grounds.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Chris Dehne and husband John, of Manchester, and Frank Weaver and wife Juliet, of Parkton; grandchildren Shelby and J.R. Dehne, and Carly and Frank Weaver Jr.; a sister, Shirley Hock, of Forest Hill; sisters-in-law Patti Saylor, of Frederick, and Susan Kierson, of Walkersville; and a mother-in-law, Mary Richmond, of Walkersville.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Grace Bible Church, 3250 Charmil Drive, Manchester, with the Rev. Paul Wenzel officiating. Interment will be private.
