Janice Ward Mays

Janice Ward Mays, 96, of Hanover, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA. Born on May 19, 1926, in Westminster, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Norma Monath Ward. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth Earl Mays, who passed away in 2018.

Janice worked as a school teacher for Baltimore County Public Schools for many years. She also enjoyed traveling.

Surviving her are children: Jeffery Huster and spouse David, Stephen Huster and spouse Deborah, Jeanne Mays and spouse Michael Collins and Carole Mays. Grandchildren: Amy Caplan and Gregory Huster. She is also survived by 3 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11am in Rest Haven Cemetery, 723 Boundary Ave., Hanover, PA 17331.
