Jean Hazlett

Jean Hazlett, 81, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025, at BridgingLife Hospice at Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, MD. Born on September 10, 1943, in Garrison, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Haines and Mable A. Younger Haines. She was the beloved wife of 50 years to Herman Frederick Hazlett.

Jean loved making homemade soups, and they were a favorite amongst the entire family. She loved to go on car rides to Catoctin mountain, and visiting family. She enjoyed reading all types of books and magazines, and watching her soap operas on tv.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are daughters: Darla Bennington, Tanya Garrett and husband David, and granddaughter: Kayla Jones. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was predeceased by her siblings: Boone, Frank, Roland, and Arthur "Otts" Pittinger, Marion Markline, Jim Haines and Edna Martin.

Funeral services and interment are private.

Arrangements are by the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., Owings Mills, Maryland.
