Jeanne Matheny

Jeanne Edwards Matheny, 91, of Manchester, MD, passed peacefully Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Lorien Taneytown. Born October 23, 1925, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John Howard and Myrtle Douglas Edwards. She was the wife of the late Douglas Ward Matheny, Sr., who died in 2011.
Jeanne enjoyed gardening and playing the piano.
Surviving her is her daughter: Nancy Ehrhardt and husband Ronald, grandchildren: Jennifer, Katie, and Bethany Ehrhardt, great granddaughter: Ashley Ehrhardt, and a brother: Richard Edwards.
She was predeceased by a son: Douglas W. Matheny, Jr. and a brother: Hank Edwards.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 1, from 3-5 and 7-9pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 am. Interment in Parkwood Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
