Jeannette Rose Ripley

Jeannette Rose Ripley, 96, of Finksburg, MD, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born on October 29, 1928, in Pleasantville, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Ignacio Notaro and Giovanna Marcuoni Notaro. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Ellsworth Ripley, Sr., who passed away in 2021.

Years ago, Jeannette worked for Sears and in banking. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Parish, where she sang in the choir. Accomplished at many ventures, Jeannette was an avid gardener and skilled painter. The paintings she sold can still be found hanging at many homes in Maryland and New Jersey.

Surviving her are her children: Joan Levy and husband Stewart, and Robert E. Ripley, Jr., and wife Darla, grandchildren: Robyn Levy and fiancé Ryan Mumma, Michael Levy, Benjamin Taylor and wife Sarah, and Laura Gery and husband Randy, great-grandchildren: Samuel, Lydia, Brandt, and Clark, and extended family.

She was predeceased by three sisters and two brothers.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, August 6, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD, where a Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 am.

Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
