Joan Marie Meekins

Joan Marie Meekins, age 67 of Hanover, PA., passed peacefully, Saturday June 4, 2016 at her home. Born August 12, 1948 in Eldersburg, MD. she was the daughter of the late Lake William Leroy and Florence Catherine Nickoles Munshower. She was the wife of 48 years to David Lee Meekins. She was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening and helping other people. Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Kevin Meekins of Hanover, PA., Randy Meekins and wife Katya of Sparks, MD. and Michelle Carter and husband Jerry of Texas. Siblings, Brenda Frebertshauser of Westminster, MD., Richard Munshower of Easton, MD., Ronnie Munshower of Cumberland, MD. and Jerry Munshower of Florida and grandchildren, Sloane Meekins, Julia, Tiffany and Heather Carter. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday June 9, 2016 from 6-8 pm. at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A. 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD 21102 with a memorial service to be held at 8:00 pm.
