Joan Eleanor Wolfenden

Joan Eleanor Wolfenden, 87, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022, at The Terraces at Westminster. Born on February 5, 1935, in Hackensack, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William Setzer and Eleanor Boschen Setzer. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Henry Wolfenden, Jr., who passed away in 2000.

Joan was a member of the Glyndon Fire Department, where she was a former Chaplain and former President of the Ladies Auxiliary. She was also the former President of the Baltimore County Ladies Auxiliary.

Surviving her are children: Barb Mack and husband Steven, Debbie Riss and husband Mark, Thomas Scott Wolfenden, Douglas Wolfenden and wife Shana, and grandchildren: Eric, Mindy, Sarah, Kendra, Amy, Daniel, Jessica, Scott, Brandie, Ashley, Samantha, and Phillip. She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren and sister-in-law: Sharon Setzer.

Joan is predeceased by her daughter-in-law: Patti Wolfenden and brother: Robert Setzer.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 19, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, with a Fire Department service to begin at 7 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 20, at 11 am, at the funeral home.

Interment will take place in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD.
