Joann G. Hoover

JoAnn G. Hoover, 72, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at her home. Born on February 5, 1949, in Manchester, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin Lambert, Sr., and Sara Ann Becker Lambert. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to George Lee Hoover.

Years ago, JoAnn worked as a cook at Miller's Food Market. She was a very involved, longtime member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. JoAnn was a very giving person, and she enjoyed sending cards for special occasions, playing poker, and going to Charlestown.

Surviving her in addition to her husband is a son: Johnny Hoover and wife Cindy of Hanover, PA, grandchildren: Brittany Petty and husband Jeremy, and Nichole Garcia and husband Christopher, great-grandchildren: Christopher Jr., and Rylie, step-granddaughter: Samantha Folks and fiancé Brian Lawson, step-great-grandchildren: Zoey, Josie, and Dominic, and siblings: Mary Jean Clinton, William D. Lambert, Rita Forbes, Nancy Cole, Miriam DePalmer, and Catherine Markle. She is also survived by numerous extended family.

She was predeceased by brothers: Charles F.  Lambert, Jr., and John Medina.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 30, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, 21102. A Requiem Mass will be held on Thursday, December 2, at 10:30 am at St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church (Historic Church), 3071 Park Avenue, Manchester, MD 21102.

Interment to follow in St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
