Joe Buchanan

Joe Buchanan, 72 of Glen Rock, PA. passed Tuesday May 1, 2018 at the UPMC Pinnacle Hanover Hospital in Hanover, PA. Born April 9, 1946 in Beanscreek, North Carolina he was the son of the late Henry and Mandy Yelton Buchanan. He was the husband of Teresa Rorke Buchanan.

Joe retired as superintendent where he worked for 38 ½ years for the City of Baltimore in Watershed Management.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children; Amanda Blanchard and husband Don, Shirl Considine, Frank Forbes, Jr. and wife Holly, Christina Spears and husband Matthew and Eric Lee Forbes and wife Leslie. He was PopPop to 11 grandchildren. He is also survived by siblings; Bob and Woodrow Buchanan, Donald Jenkins and Shelby Hooper.

He was predeceased by a sister; Beatrice Buchanan.

The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, on Monday, May 7, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, PA.
