John D. Boblits, Jr.

John D. Boblits, Jr., 78, of Gettysburg, PA, formerly of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021, at his home. Born on May 16, 1943, he was the son of the late John D. Boblits Sr., and Goldie Rae Wilhelm Boblits. He was the beloved husband of 54 years to Roberta B. Jackson Boblits.

John was a proud veteran of the United States National Guard. He worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for the State of Maryland. John was an avid fan of NHRA and John Force, and he loved spending time with his son attending races.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are a son: John D. Boblits, III and wife Marci L., granddaughters: Heather Curtis, and Emily and Abby Boblits, and brothers: Eugene and David Boblits.

He was predeceased by a daughter: Stacey A. Boblits and a brother: Charles Boblits.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 5, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, August 6 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
