John Thomas Houck age 64 of Taneytown, MD. died Saturday Dec. 8, 2012 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
Born May 16, 1948 in Baltimore, MD. he was the son of the late LeRoy Norman and Carrie Isabelle Forney Houck. He was the stepson of Evelyn Houck of Reisterstown, MD.
Through the years he spent a lot of time at the Baltimore City Fire Dept. Engine 40.
Surviving in addition to his stepmother are siblings: Patricia Phillips of Taneytown, MD., Patricia Zimmerman of Littlestown, PA., Deborah Rothschild of Raleigh, North Carolina., Charlotte Criss of Hanover, PA., Rebecca Giggard of Como, North Carolina., Norman Houck of Timonium, MD., Joseph Houck of Hanover, PA., Lloyd Houck of Pasadena, MD., Richard Houck of Hampstead, MD., Charles Houck of Como, North Carolina. and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 12:00 noon.
Interment in Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
