John Lewis Langkam III, 78, of Glen Rock, PA, passed away on September 6, 2026, surrounded by his family at his home. Born on August 5, 1948, in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late John Lewis Langkam II and Mary Elizabeth Hauf Langkam. He was the beloved husband of 43 years to the late Sharon Gail (Rhodes) Langkam, who passed away in 2011.
John was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War.
He also enjoyed hunting in Potter County, fishing, farming and crabbing.
Surviving him are children: John Langkam IV and wife Kelly, Kimberly Jacoby and husband Marty, Dawn Golden and husband Jim, Jeremie Langkam, Jason Langkam and wife Amy, 21 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
John is also survived by his siblings: Patricia Campbell, George “Ted” Langkam and wife Sue, Russell “Rusty” Langkam and wife Kathleen, Cathy Day, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sisters-in-law: Mary Patton, Tracy Millay, Carol Adams, and brothers-in-law: Jessie Allen and wife Myra and Tony Duncan.
John is also survived by his special friend Peggy Robbins, who he loved playing cards with.
John was predeceased by his siblings: Lynda Utz, Douglas Langkam, Frederick Langkam, Sr., sister-in-law: Renata Langkam, and brothers-in-law: William Utz, Charles Campbell, Jim Day, David Patton, and special aunt: Carolyn Davenport.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at a later date, please check back for details.
