John T. Lucas, Sr. " Luke", 82 years old, of Hanover, PA., formally of Pikesville, died Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his home in Hanover, PA.

Born November 22, 1927 in Baltimore County, he was the son of the late George and Emma Lucas.

He was the husband of Elizabeth R. Lucas for 60 years.

He was a graduate of Calvert Hall High School, class of 1946. He served two tours in Korea and earned two Bronze Stars. He was honorably discharged earning the rank of Sgt. First Class. He worked as a PBX Repairman with C&P Telephone Company in Baltimore before retiring.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his children and their spouses, John T. Lucas, Jr. of Baltimore, Bonny Lee and Bob Kellner of Hampstead, David M. and Cindy Lucas of Eldersburg, Mary C. Lucas-Derry and Ron Derry of Hanover, PA., Scott and Christy Lucas of New Oxford, PA., 12, grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brothers George and Matthew Lucas and sisters Pauline Keane and Jeanette Harper.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Ann Lucas, daughter-in-law Dolores Lucas, brother's James Lucas and an infant George Lucas.

The family will receive friends from 3-5 and 7-9 PM on Saturday, April 3rd, at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills 21117.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, April 5th at 11:00 AM at Saint Charles Borromeo Roman Catholic Church, 101 Church Lane, Pikesville 21208.

Interment in Druid Ridge Cemetery.
