John Lewis "Lukie" Haines, 82, of Linwood, passed away peacefully, Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Long View Healthcare Center in Manchester. Born April 14, 1934 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Joseph Lippincott Haines, Sr. and Eva John Haines. He was the beloved husband of the late Sylvia Roelke Haines, who died in 2013. He was predeceased by his brother Joseph L. Haines, Jr.; and his sister Dorothy H. Schabinger. He is survived by his 3 nephews and 1 niece. He was a retired farmer and a self-employed truck driver. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Union Bridge Volunteer Fire Company, 8 W Locust St., Union Bridge, MD 21791 or Long View Healthcare Center, Attn: Residence Activities Fund, P.O.
