John Thomas Martin, Sr.

John Thomas Martin, Sr., 88, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at his sons' home in Westminster, MD. Born on December 14, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son to the late Thomas and Magdalena Martin. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret C. Martin, who passed away in 2013.

Years ago, John worked with the Social Security Administration as a business analyst. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post 521 and the American Legion Post 116.

John is survived by his children: Susan Miko and husband Don, John Martin, Jr. and wife Sandi, Carolyn Eichler and husband John, Jr., Maryanne Bailey and husband Harold, grandchildren: Donny, Shannon, Steve, Matty, Maggie, Katie, Patrick, Johnny, Alex, and Angelica, great-grandchildren: Sammy, Dakota, Danielle, brother: Tom Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 9:30-11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 63 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071. A Mass of Christian Burial with Father Brendan Fitzgerald will follow at 11 am. Due to the ongoing pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.

Interment in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be offered to the American Legion Post 116, 1090 Westminster Pike, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
