John Kevin Masters, 64, of Manchester passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 7, 2015, at his home. Born February 17, 1951 in Haywood Co., NC, he was the son of the late Norma Kathleen Capps Masters. He was husband of Johnni Lynn Blizzard Masters, who passed away in 1997.
Mr. Masters was a carpenter and Vietnam Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving form 1969 to 1975. He enjoyed working on cars, watching westerns, the television show M.A.S.H., and playing the guitar.
Surviving are his children Jackie R. Stem and husband Bill of Westminster, James A. Masters and Justin Masters both of Hanover, PA; his stepson Dale Boone and Fiancée Kim Dayhaw of Manchester; his sister-in-law Mary L. Masters of Westminster; and his 7 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother James H. Masters.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with a funeral service and interment, 10 a.m. Wednesday at Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., P.O. Box 389, Manchester, MD 21102 to defray the funeral expenses.
