John Wesley Teter, 87, of Owings Mills, died Friday November 19, 2010 at the Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD.
Born Nov. 1, 1923 in Mt. Crawford, VA, he was the son of the late Victor and Laura Jane Schaffer Teter. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane Hewitt Teter.
Years ago he was a courier for the White Coffee Pot in Reisterstown, MD.
Surviving are his children Laura Jane Unkart of Westminster, Cathy Ann Reynard of Frederick, and Gary Wayne Teter of Bel Air; a sister Maxine Trobough of Grottoes, VA; his grandchildren Jerry, Jay, Steve, Beth, Sara and Amy, great grandchildren Derek, Bailey, Colby, Emily, Aiden, Mason, and Kennedy.
He was predeceased by a sister Martha Buchanan and a brother Ben Teter.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with the Rev. Kenneth Hoover.
Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
