Jonathan David Held

Jonathan David Held, 81, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024, at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Long View in Manchester, MD. Born on January 23, 1943, in Lutherville, MD, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Harriet Wright Held. He was the beloved husband of Elaine Held.

Jonathan was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Years ago, he worked as an optician.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are siblings: Joseph Held and wife Patricia, Stephen Held and wife Jestina, Sarah Adams, and Virginia Kahnert, sister-in-law: Barbara Held, beloved niece: Mary Ann King, and best friend: William "Bill" Wilkerson.

He was predeceased by siblings: Timothy Held and wife Lucretia, C. Daniel Held, John Held, Herbert Held, and James Held, and brothers-in-law: Bruce Adams and John Kahnert.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, June 16, from 2-4 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102.

A private interment will be held at New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
