Joseph Edward Albert, Jr.

Joseph Edward Albert, Jr., 93, of Timonium, MD, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Towson, MD.  Born on October 6, 1931, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph Edward Albert, Sr. and Helen Evelyn Lutz Albert.  He was the beloved husband of 68 years to Phyllis Edna Grieb Albert.

Joe worked as an accountant for several local companies and also as a tax preparer, providing services to individuals and small businesses. Joe loved spending time with family including playing Santa at Christmas parties and eating crabs and playing volleyball at summer parties. Joe enjoyed the beach in Ocean City, MD and served many years on two condominium boards as president.  Before joining Timonium UMC, he served many years as treasurer at Overlea UMC.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Eric Albert and wife Theresa, Beth Albert, grandchildren: Nicholas, Kaitlyn and husband Dylan Foust, great granddaughter: Harper, and sisters: Kathleen H. Reuschling and Patricia A. Eckhardt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by his sisters: Emily J. Noon and Lollye E. Vyskocil.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 11 am, at Timonium United Methodist Church, 2300 Pot Spring Rd, Timonium, MD 21093. All are welcome.

Interment is private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to Timonium UMC.
