Joseph Anthony Guzinski, Jr. age 79 of Hampstead, MD. died Thursday July 22,2010 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD.
Born Jan. 18,1931 in Baltimore, MD. he was the son of the late Joseph Anthony Guzinski, Sr. and Mildred Wink Guzinski. He was the husband of Judy Ann Volcjak Guzinski.
He had 50 years experience in excavation, earthwork, utilities, paving, demolition and project management and was currently working as a construction manager for Phoenix Engineering, Inc. He was a member of the Maryland Association of Engineers Inc. and the Maryland Minority Business Association. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1951-1953 during the Korean Conflict in the SeaBee Division.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Joseph Anthony Guzinski, III and wife Marilyn of Roanoke, Virginia, Mary Ellen Henline and husband Gary of Hampstead, MD. Amy Lynne Naughton and husband Christopher of Frederick, MD. and Susan Beth Crawford and husband Gregory of Manchester, MD. Son in law: Robert Alder and wife Cyndi, Brother: Ronald E. Guzinski and wife Glenda of Ijamsville, MD. Grandchildren: Claire Alison and Lauren Rebecca Guzinski, Olivia Frances, Grace Alison and Noah Gregory Crawford and Donna and Brian Alder and a godson: Brendan McDowell.
He was predeceased by a sister: Mary Ann Wright.
Funeral services will be held at Northwest Baptist Church, 300 Westminster Rd. Reisterstown, MD. on Tuesday at 11:00am. with the Rev. Gary Glanville officiating followed by a private cremation at All Faiths Crematory, Manchester, MD.
The family will receive friends at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9pm.
