Joseph Eugene "Joe" Herfurth, 69 years old of Reisterstown, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Gilchrist Hospice in Towson.
Born December 26, 1944 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Jesse and Mary Herfurth.
Joe attended Kenwood High School in Baltimore County. At one time he volunteered at the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Company. He worked at various maintenance jobs, and enjoyed working with his tools and with wood projects. He also liked doing art work.
Surviving are his siblings: Shirley Bonds, Jesse Herfurth, Jr., Jerry Herfurth, Gerri Martin, Bernie Harman, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends. He loved his dog; his best buddy, George.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 29, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills, where services will begin at 1:00 pm. Rev. Timothy P. Feaser officiating.
Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
