Joseph T. Maher, Sr. 80 years old of Glyndon, died Friday, July 8, 2011 at his home.
Born September 14, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William Thomas Maher and Dorothy E. Dailey Maher.
He was the husband of Lynne Adelaide Secrist Maher.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses: Joseph Jr. and Carmen Maher of Sykesville, Mary and Paul Ellis of Eldersburg, Elizabeth and Robert Moreno of Walkersville and Sarah Maher and John Strohsacker of Timonium, his sister Catherine Gammuto of Downers Grove, IL and 9 grandchildren.
Friends may call on Monday, July 11th from 3-5 and 7-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, MD 21071.
Interment in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery.
