Joseph Xavier Pohlhaus, 83, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2025, at The Terraces of Westminster. Born on February 19, 1942, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Walter Leonard Pohlhaus and Margaretta Patricia Monahan Pohlhaus.
Joe was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. After his military service, he was a diesel truck mechanic for over 40 years. In his spare time Joe enjoyed fishing, working on antique automobiles, and playing Bingo at the local firehalls.
Surviving him are his siblings: Walter Pohlhaus, Sr., Owen Pohlhaus, Gretchen Markline, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother: Bernard Pohlhaus and sisters: Sarah Myers and Georgeanna Doffmeyer.
A private interment will take place at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Bridging Life Hospice at Carroll County, 292 Stoner Aveune, Westminster MD 21157
