Joseph Peter Speranzella, Jr.

Joseph Peter Speranzella, Jr., 87, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026, at his home. Born on July 6, 1938, in Baltimore City, MD, he was the son of the late Joseph Speranzella and Mary Terzano Speranzella. He was the beloved husband of 46 years to Loretta Elizabeth Hare Speranzella.

Joseph worked as a designer for Baltimore Gas and Electric. Years ago, he was a drummer in a band. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, and listening to music. He especially loved his Labrador Retrievers.

Surviving him in addition to his wife is a niece: Susan Johns, and nephew: Robert Johns and wife Jane Johns. He is also survived by extended family.

Joseph was predeceased by his siblings and their spouses: Alverta C. Ryan and husband Joseph E. Ryan, Michael J. Speranzella and wife Verona Speranzella, Carmella A. Marchesi and husband Eugene Marchesi, Dolores Maria Crusse and husband Henry Crusse, Jr., and Lucille Cook and husband Matthew J. Cook.

Funeral services and interment is private.
