Joshua Lee Richards, 18, of Hampstead died on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Born on January 31, 1990 at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson and was the son of Bonnie Lou Richards of Hampstead.
He was a junior at North Carroll High School and was a cashier for Weis Food Market in Hampstead.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his girlfriend Kaci Miller of Hampstead, sisters Jessica Thompson, April Weaver, Jenny Richards, Julia Richards all of Hampstead, his brothers Kevin Weaver and Justin Ramsey both of Hampstead, his grandparents Beatrice Lamon and Joseph Richards both of Hampstead, his aunts Connie Toston of Manchester and Donna Richards of Hampstead, his uncles Randy Seipp of Manchester and Ronnie Seipp of Hampstead, his niece Brandi Boone of Hampstead.
A funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with Rev. Earl M. Johnson, PhD. of Grace Bible Baptist Church in Catonsville. Interment will be in Greenmount United Methodist Church Cemetery in Greenmount.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to help defray the funeral expenses to Betty L. Knatz, for Joshua Richards, c/o Farmer and Merchants Bank, 2205 Hanover Pike, Hampstead, MD 21074.
