Joyce Margaret Burchill

Joyce Margaret Burchill, 84, of Bel Air, MD, formerly of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Brightview Assisted Living in Bel Air, MD. Born on November 23, 1936, in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Latch. Her father was a mechanic for the City of Lancaster and her mother a homemaker. She was the beloved wife of the late Franklin "Frank" A. Burchill, who passed away in 2006.

Baltimore Co. Board of Education employed her for 38 years, retiring in 2016 as a bus attendant. She was a Life Member of VFW Post 521 Ladies Auxiliary in Owings Mills, MD.

Surviving her is a daughter: Margaret E. Elkins and husband Kenneth, grandchildren: Chase and wife Jennifer, Chad and wife Tina, great-grandchildren: Gwyneth and Avery Elkins, and sisters: Grace Costa and Dot Mitchenfelder.

She was predeceased by her son: John Burchill.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, March 29, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.

Funeral services and interment are private.
