Janet Shirley "Judy" Wroe, age 93, of Glyndon passed away peacefully, Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Dove House in Westminster.
Born October 11, 1921 in Elmhurst, PA, she was the daughter of the late Herman Jones and Alice Beers Jones. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Harrison "Ned" Wroe.
Mrs. Wroe was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and a retired English Teacher in the Scranton, PA area school system. She was a past president of the Glyndon Community Association, and a former member and past president of the Women's Club of Glyndon.
Surviving are her children Allen H. Wroe and wife Susan, and Janet Leslie Wroe all of Glyndon; her grandsons Alex Harrison and Pearce Chancellor Wroe; her great-granddaughter Ivy Summerfield Wroe; her sister Ida Marion Adler of Elmhurst, PA; her sister-in-law Sally Wroe; her brother-in-law George Wroe and wife Jean; and her many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at the All Saints Episcopal Church, 203 East Chatsworth Avenue,
Reisterstown with a reception to follow in the church hall.
Interment will be held privately prior to the memorial service at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the All Saints Episcopal Church, 203 East Chatsworth Avenue, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
