Julia LaRue Wagner, 91, of Manchester died Friday, March 26, 2010 at Long View Nursing Home.
Born on July 14, 1918 in Carroll County, MD, she was the daughter of the late George V. Sullivan and Edith Lydia Melvina Frock Sullivan.
She was the wife of the late Herschel Clayton Wagner, her husband of 68 years, who died on August 11, 2006.
She was a home maker and had worked for Black and Decker, the Manchester Sewing Factory, and the Rus-Joy Inn in Melrose.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Manchester and an honorary member of Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club.
Surviving are her children Arnold Eugene Wagner and his wife Diane Delores of Bel Air, Rev. Melvina Stricklin of Hampstead, Douglas Richard Wagner and his wife Norma Jean of Glen Rock, Pa, and Elwin Herschel Wagner and his wife Michele of Manchester; her 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son in law J. Wayne Stricklin and her siblings Catherine Warehime, Fern Sullivan, Lillie Warner, Clark Sullivan and Melvin Sullivan.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Lois Ann Furgess-Oler.
Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery.
