June Catherine Lessner

June Catherine Lessner, 91, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at her daughter's home in Littlestown, PA.  Born on August 11, 1932, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Harry N. and Elizabeth Mary Jones Sullivan.  She was the beloved wife of George "Russ" Russell Lessner, who passed away in 2017.

Years ago, June worked at the Mount Wilson State Hospital and later the Maryland State Highway Administration until her retirement in the early 90's. She loved stock car racing, along with her husband Russ. She also enjoyed going to antique car shows and spending time with her many friends. Her greatest title was that of Granny! She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving her is a daughter:  Linda Warren and husband Gary, grandchildren: Kristin Coleman and husband Jeff, Kara Warren, Brandon Warren and wife Danielle, great-grandchildren: Garrett, Wyatt, Weston, and Olivia.  She is also survived by a sister: Jean Mai, and many nieces and nephews.

June was predeceased by her siblings: Harry N. Sullivan and Mary E. Munshower.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, February 25, from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, February 26, at 10:30 am.

Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered to St Jude Children's Hospital.
