Karl Francis Maevers, 81 years old of Glyndon, died Friday, October 26, 2012 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Towson.
Born April 25, 1931 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Karl Herman Maevers and Dorothy Nesbit Reader Maevers.
He was the husband of Marie Catherine Horacek Maevers, his wife of 53 years.
He served honorably with the U.S. Navy in Korea aboard the Destroyer, USS Frank Knox. He loved spending time with his family and enjoying his garden. He was a huge Pittsburg Steelers Fan.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Stasie List and her husband Dale List, Jr. of Felton, PA. and his son Karl R. Maevers and his wife Melissa Maevers of Pasadena, MD.
Friends may call on Wednesday, November 7th from 9:00 until 10:00 AM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills where Memorial Services will begin at 10:00 AM. Rev. Dr. Jeannie Marsh officiating.
Interment in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery with Honors.
