Katherine Ruth Warehime, 89, of Manchester died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Dove House in Westminster.
Born April 19, 1921 in Onego, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lannie Grover Harper and Carrie Smith Harper. She was the wife of the late Elmo Soloman Warehime, her husband of 51 years, who died in 1996.
She was an assembly worker for Black and Decker. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Manchester Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and the Westminster AARP. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling.
Surviving are her brothers Roy and Richard Harper; her sisters Betty Moyer, Birtie Martin, and Mary Alice Hare; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brothers Paul, Grove, and Blair Harper; and her sisters Rose Fowler and Mable Harper.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday with her pastor the Rev. Matthew S. Schenning officiating.
Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.
