Kathy Lee Sanders, 66, of Hampstead died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Golden Crest Assisted Living in Hampstead.
Born March 13, 1948 in Baltimore, she was the daughter Franklin Kirkwood and Hilda Schuman Kirkwood. She was the wife of the Richard Harper Sanders, her husband of 32 years, who died on June 10, 2006.
She was a homemaker. Years ago, she had worked as an Assembler for Black and Decker. She was an amazing artist, who enjoyed painting and sketching. In her spare time, she also enjoyed crafts, her horses, her Rottweiler, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughters Adrienne P. Fletcher and husband James, and Corrie A. Sanders, all of Hampstead; and her grandchildren Hope, Collin, Averi, Madison, and Brooke.
She was predeceased by her sister Edna Kirkwood.
A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester and a memorial service will be 5 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2014 at the Manchester Volunteer Fire Department's Activities Building, at the corner of York Street and Locust Street, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
